Join with us as we open our hearts to helping our neighbors in need, near and far, as His word calls us to do. Six-week study meeting on Fridays from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. beginning October 26. Special Presentation & Guest Speaker: Checkpoint One

This year our patriotic program will feature a presentation from Checkpoint One, an organization in nearby Doswell, Virginia. This organization was selected based on their work with our veterans and military personnel. A love offering will be received to help with their ongoing expenses. You may also donate any of the following items: bottled water, toilet paper, hand soap and paper towels.

Our guest speaker will be the co-founder of Checkpoint One, Retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel, Andy Kaufmann (pictured left). Andy served for more than 20 years all around the country and the world. Andy was an OH58D Kiowa Warrior Pilot and retired in 2009. Andy moved through various phases post-retirement to find what his next mission was and after a life changing experience found his love of horses and how they help heal. Andy is a Certified Equine Specialist and on the EAGALA Military Task Force. He is also a Registered Yoga Instructor, teaching at Checkpoint One and in the local community.

Checkpoint One is a 501c3 non-profit located in Doswell, Virginia. They offer a non-riding Equine Assisted Therapies and Coaching (specializing in mental health and personal development), yoga, and other stress management-nature-infused services to our First Responders, Military/Veterans, and their immediate families and caregivers. With a focus on PTS (Post Traumatic Stress) as well as ERES (Emergency Responder Exhaust Syndrome) they have developed a unique “out of the box” program that provides tools and methods to give to our clients which can help move past the trauma and turn it into growth. They specialize in assisting the Military community including any currently serving, retired, medically retired or discharged and their immediate family members. The First Responder community consists of any currently serving Fire, EMS, Police, SWAT, Dispatcher, 911 Operator, Special Agents, ER Doctors/Nurses, Trauma Surgeons/Nurses and their immediate families. 2018 VBS

Bethel VBS invites kids to grab their megaphones, lace up their cleats, and tune up their instruments. As they fill up the offensive line, sideline, and drum line, your players, cheerleaders, and band members will realize God has given them His ultimate playbook. He wants them to join His team, train hard, celebrate salvation, and encourage one another.

VBS will be July 22-26 from 6-8:30pm. We hope you will come out and join us for the best week of the entire summer!

Please contact Lauren Moore (laurenelmoore@gmail.com) or Shawn Moss (shawnmoss5114@gmail.com) for more information or to volunteer.

Vacation Bible School 2017

Vacation Bible School 2017

Join us for some fun in Space with Galactic Starveyors as we learn about God and explore the universe and all he created for us.  Discover the incredible mysteries of the final frontier—right from your own backyard. Your telescope becomes a portal through which you encounter amazing and wonderful things designed by a Creator who is even bigger than the vastness of His creation. But the most amazing wonder to be discovered truly boggles the mind. The God who created everything there is—the knowable and the unknowable, the visible and the invisible—wants a relationship with you! And from the very beginning, God had a plan to restore the relationship He knew we would break.
Vacation Bible School starts Sunday, July 16-thru July 20 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. We look forward to having lots of Starveyors aboard our Spaceship to God.  We can’t wait for our adventure to start.  For more information or if you’d like to help, please contact Jessie Keaton at 804-517-9127 or Mary Florence at 804-647-5962.  To sign your children up, please call the church office at 804-794-8590.
