Cathy Marshall, Accompanist

Accompanist: Cathy Marshall
Cathy is a life long native of Richmond, Virginia. While she was raised in the city, Cathy is a country girl at heart. She hopes to retire to a more rural or small town setting in the near future. Cathy is a graduate of The Braxton Business School. In 1986, Cathy was called to a combined career in church administration and church music. Her music ministry has involved both instrumental and vocal work with children’s music, adult choirs, special groups and many special programs; however, her main focus has always been that of an accompanist. Cathy has served as Administrative Assistant for Crestwood Presbyterian Church since July 1991 and has a passion for creating bulletins, newsletters, PowerPoint presentations and various other documents to enhance worship and ministry. Cathy states, “I stand in awe of the amazing things God has allowed me to do throughout my career thus far and am very excited about future ministry opportunities.” Cathy married her cowboy, Dennis, known to his family as “Tex,” in 1982 and through the years their home has included an assortment of “children” with fur and feathers. They have many shared interests including a love of horses and rodeo, Southern Gospel and cowboy music, Civil War events, history and art, family history and spending time in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley, of which Dennis is a native. In addition, Cathy enjoys raising African violets, reading, knitting, crafting and watching Hallmark and faith-based movies.
